Trial USA style - HELP!!!!!!

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was anyone on here who knows anything about American Criminal Law or knows someone who might?

Homicide to be exact. If so, please PM me. I need info on the difference between US 1st and 2nd degree murder & Involuntary Manslaughter. CONFUSED!!!! I study British Law - same system but also, not really :(

NOOOOOOOOO, I did not kill anyone! I need to check something for a Mock Trial I am holding in March at Nyenrode).

Many thanks,

Best,

Tor

Re: Trial USA style - HELP!!!!!!

I just did a quick search on google. I'm quite confident the USA governement will be tracking my internet activities for a while after this
I found the wikipedia site on murder quite informative, especially the 'degrees' section, which fits my intuitive understandig of the degrees (all based on CSI and NCIS  )

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_(U ... tates_law)

I would guess that every (democratic) country provides law texts and interpretations online. Question is where to find it (the official sources).

Hey Eekhoorn,

Thanks for your help - I have no idea why I couldn't find those links....although I am always a bit worried about using Wikipedia :roflma:

This is perfect though - good enough for a mock trial anyway!!!!

Have a great day!!

Groeten,

Tor

The usefulness of Wikipedia is the reference list below the simplifications :-)

Ps; read the appropriate state law, they differ.

Re: Trial USA style - HELP!!!!!!

You're totally correct

State Law doesn't matter - It's set in Holland but using American Criminal Law. I'm actually thinking of using English Law instead as that's what I study.....Makes more sense!

Thanks for your help Stefan
