Universiteit en frustraties over tempo

As Selah rightly said, this was 'my' university and not a sweeping statement of my opinion of Universities in general. This comment led to the misunderstanding I think from looking at past posts. Perhaps it was a linguistic mistake due to translation - in English, if one has already referred to the object in the sentence, then you can use a definite article in any following sentence ('the') as it is - to English readers clear as to what is being referred to.

Additionally, however my comment has been perceived - Law is my second Honours degree, my first one was at King's and was a totally different experience. Not commercial at all. Either way, my opinion is my opinion and I shouldn't have to justify it. Nor should Tinus. I also, throughout the whole thread, made it clear that I respect difference of opinion.

I hope that clears things up a bit. Thanks for posting all. I'm not on here to argue.

Ik vind je Nederlands goed genoeg, niet slechter dan je Engels, en beter dan vele anderen hier. Het half Engels half Nederlands is veel onduidelijker. Dit soort onduidelijkheden horen bij communicatie denk ik. kunnen ontstaan trouwens; het lijkt me vooral een kwestie van verduidelijken. Het is jammer dat je je aangevallen voelde. Dat gevoel, ongeverifieerd, maakt anderen die het misschien helemaal niet zo bedoelden ook ineens tot "aanvaller".

Het verdringt ook de inhoud naar de achtergrond. Dat terwijl er toch goede tips tussen zitten, die nu geen aandacht meer krijgen, jammer dat TS niet meer reageert ook.

Thanks for your comments on my Dutch - I agree with you on many things you say although I'm not entirely sure what your comment says about my English skills haha.I have never had a single Dutch lesson so I know I make lots of mistakes with grammar etc That's likely when one 'just picks it up!" It is definitely unclearer to express myself in 2 languages at once - zal ik niet meer doen Maybe I should take some Dutch lessons once!

I don't feel 'attacked' particularly, it's fine.

Hopefully to a better 'communicative' future and thanks for your insight and tips, much appreciated.
